You are invited to experience Debauch, an adults-only experimental work that will ravish the senses as our question is posed - why do we need pain?

Step into the unknown to explore both all that is within and without. As performers reach out in acts of hedonistic desire and vulnerable exposure, you will be taken on a journey. Through Shibari, poetry, theatre, and movement, you will be invited in. From the warm flicker of a dripping candle, to the sting of glass, you may be confronted. Through stories of anguish, disabled joy, and queer humanity you will leave moved, if you so desire....

From the producer behind the successful Shibari Soiree, this late night show will enrapture all in but an hour. From the most experienced clad in leather and latex, to those simply wanting an entertaining night out, all are welcome.

This project received Cash for Equity through the Fringe Fund, as part of the Ralph Mclean Microgrants program.

About Himboy

Himboy (he/they) is a trans, gender fluid, disabled artist, performer, educator and producer working on unceeded Wurundjeri land. They are vers(atile), bold and deeply reflective, drawn to create art and space through both the euphoria of queer love, and the depth of his disabled experience.

He has been in and around the rope community, and an active member of the broader k*nk scene, in Naarm/Melbourne for over seven years. With a goal to creates safe(r) space for all, they constantly work towards accessibility and inclusion in each space they enter. In a community first, in 2020 Himboy co-founded the queer led not-for-profit teaching collective of rope educators, Melbourne Community Rope. In 2023 he founded Selfie Circle, the first education based self tying group in Naarm. His previous performance credits in this space include Unicorns World Pride, Oz Kink Fest World Pride, Homo Hotel (Poof Doof - World Pride), Sexpo 2022, Tomboy, Demasque, Gay Life Drawing and many others. His producer credits include the regularly sold out Shibari Soiree and No Strings Attached Life Drawing, presented through Himboy Events. He has taught at MCR, Peer Rope, Mannhaus, High Tide, as well as interstate.
