Ben McCarthy and Jenni Townsend are two of Melbourne’s top comedic improvisers who can’t wait to debut their show at Melbourne Fringe!

Come unwind with Ben & Jen as they deliver some soothing long-form improv. They only need one suggestion from the audience to deliver a delicious theatrical nightcap full of laughs, whimsy and joy.

This duo met performing with The Big Hoo Haa at the Butterfly Club and now, just like Joey from Friends, they’ve found themselves in a spin-off of their own.

So let them slip you into a warm bath and put some cucumbers over your eyes so you can bask in hilarious story telling. Sit back, breathe in through the nose, out through the mouth and let them do the heavy lifting. (You will not receive cucumbers or a bath, this is all imagined. Individual results may vary) Ahhhh...

Jenni just finished a successful run of her solo Melbourne International Comedy Festival show, ‘Invite Me to the Met Gala Already’, which combined character sketch and fashion-improv (she literally created an outfit on stage) and performed her interactive character show ‘A Happening’ at last year’s Fringe Festival. She regularly appears in the Big Hoo-Haa and at the Improv Conspiracy.

Ben performs regularly with The Big Hoo-Haa and this year debuted with Impromptunes, performing with them nine times in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. In 2022, he completed the full time course at 16th Street Actors Studio. You can also see him in the wacky satirical play 'Sunday Roast' performing 11th-15th of October over at Festival Hub!
