Due to a familial emergency, Ellie McCarthy found herself stuck in Melbourne, a city she had never lived in, nor knew of, at the start of the pandemic. In an attempt to carve out some sort of a life, she threw herself into the world of dating, a relative shock to the system after a 5 year monogamous relationship back in the UK. The unhinged and chaotic experience led to 'Am I Doing This Right?' which was completed at the end of 2022, during a stint in a psychiatric hospital for clinical depression.
