In 1973, Cherry Vinyl escaped her small gaping hole in Coober Pedy and hitchhiked her way to the bright lights of the shantytown now known as Surfers Paradise.

From shy gold panty metre maid to headline act at Broadbeach’s most exclusive gentlemen's club ‘Legs, Legs, Legs, Lips, Lips, Lips!’.

One stormy tropical Wednesday night, a tall allusive figure in a velour tracksuit and dark glasses walked into the club. He walked up to Cherry’s feathery perch and whispered his Winfield Red into her ear, “hush your sweet lips tweedy bird... you’re coming with me...”

Comedic genius Ruby Teys performs her original Australiana tropicana sh*tstorm. An ode to the Gold Coast's most treasured showgirls, plastic surgeons and the sugar daddies that kept them both in business!

    Festival Hub: Trades Hall - Meeting Room is wheelchair accessible. The entrance to the venue is on Lygon St. You can head up the front stairs and through the main doors, from there head right to get to the Loading Dock.If you need step-free access, head to the driveway located on the left-hand side of the main entrance on Lygon Street. The driveway will lead you into the courtyard. From the courtyard, continue straight through the loading dock and into the Victoria Street Building, where the meeting Room will be on your left. Volunteers will be available along the route to assist you if needed. Please don't hesitate to ask for help
