Brian Morley: Songs for All Souls

Politics. Protest. Petroleum.

  • Presented by: Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance and Monash University

  • Directed by: James Jackson

Hailed as the Koori Neil Young, Brian Morley's songs are written for everybody. He speaks to our souls and draws us together. In this special concert, his music will draw upon his life experiences and tell about his Stolen Generation experiences, the true history of this country, love, depression, racism, friendship, his pushing of societal boundaries, and his fight for community inclusiveness. Often harrowing but always heartfelt, confronting yet inspiring, Brian illuminates the path forward for us to reconnect with one another and create a compassionate, empathetic, and inclusive world. Brian will be accompanied by Huich Goh on violin.
