Current Opportunities

We have two excellent job opportunities and we are looking for two excellent human beings to work with us.

General Manager and Deputy CEO

Please note, applications for this role have closed.

At Melbourne Fringe, we need things managed, generally.  We’re after an ambitious, energetic, clever, strategic, fun collaborator to join the team in a key senior role. If you love inclusive independent arts, festivals, project management, planning, numbers, people, systems and being entrepreneurial then this is the one for you.  Jobs like this don’t come up that often and we want someone pretty special. If you’ve got all the experience in the world, that’s great, but we’ll train up the right person if we need to – we’re after the perfect personality fit, the right attitude and some knowledge of the turf ready to hit the ground running.

For a confidential discussion, please contact Creative Director and CEO Simon Abrahams on 0407 422 496.

Your application should include a cover letter explaining why you’re interested in the job, a CV, and a separate document addressing each of the key selection criteria.  Yes, we know it’s mean making you address “sense of humour” in there.  Them’s the breaks.  Please combine into a single PDF (it’s an excellent first skills test) and email to simon@melbournefringe.com.au

Marketing and Communications Manager

Please note, applications for this role have closed.

Fringe is going to market (to market) for a brand-new, full-time Marketing & Communications Manager. We are on the look-out for an ambitious, talented and energic team player who is comfortable rolling with it when it comes to campaigns, can deliver a comms strategy like a dream, is creative with content, writes clever copy, is savvy with stakeholders and / or / even better, is an overall marketing whizz. Social media darlings and festival junkies are strongly encouraged to apply.  If you are super experienced, great. If you are looking to take a leap in your career, brilliant – what are you waiting for?!? The role reports to the Head of Marketing and Development and you will be working with a great team (did we say a sense of humour is a must?).
