Program Coordinator (Deadly Fringe)

Whether you’re an artist who wants to level-up in producing or an administrator with a love of the arts, we want to hear from you!

Melbourne Fringe is looking for an emerging First Nations arts worker to coordinate the 2021 Deadly Fringe commissions program and support First Nations artists in the Festival and in our year-round venue Fringe Common Rooms.

This role is perfect for someone keen to develop their skills and become a future leader in the arts. There’s loads of support provided, including from our First Nations Artistic Advisor, our external cultural support consultant and a structured mentorship program with an experienced Frist Nations producer. Plus, a super supportive team with a serious commitment to lunch.

Artists and Venues Liaison

We’re looking for a sharp and savvy arts worker to assist with our Festival registration process.

This short contract role is a key point of contact for Festival artists at all levels – from first-time Fringers to Fringe veterans – helping them in the first stages of turning their seedling ideas into flourishing art-gardens.

The Artists and Venues Liaison will play cupid, matchmaking artists with the perfect venue. They’ll become intimately familiar with our registration system Eventotron, helping artists and venues navigate the process. A large part of this job involves proofreading events – so attention to detail is a must!

Fringe Hub Producer

On the lookout for a new challenge in a fun and supportive team? Help run our annual Fringe Hub at Trades Hall!

We’re looking for a highly skilled producer who is passionate about the independent arts and operational efficiency (and the importance of cake, we care about that too).

Fringe Hub Producer is a varied and challenging role across programming, production, artist support and operations. They juggle multiple balls at once – looking after around 70 events, a team of casual staff and the ins-and-outs of the Hub’s multiple venues. They’ll play a key role in programming, artist liaison and venue operations and work closely with the production and marketing teams to make sure all the boxes are being ticked to get the venue running like clockwork.

The Fringe Hub is the place to be in October and you can make it happen.

Program Coordinator (Club Fringe)

Do you throw a mean party? Why not get paid to do it!

We’re looking for an arts worker/event planner to look after the Melbourne Fringe Festival’s iconic Club Fringe program – from programming to planning to delivery.

Event management will be their bread and butter – everything from liaising with artists about the programming to planning run-sheets down to the minute and managing the parties on the night. Their inside knowledge of the local arts and events scene will help them throw together the hottest line-ups of artists and DJs, and their top-notch communication and administrative skills will make sure everything goes off without a hitch.
