COVID Safety

In-person events at Fringe Common Rooms and external venues will proceed according to the Victorian Government’s COVID-19 restrictions at the time. Melbourne Fringe has a detailed COVID-Safe plan to ensure the safety of audiences, artists and staff. Please follow the instructions of event staff and adhere to the following principles while attending. Remember, our staff are there to keep your safe, please be nice!

Visitors over the age of 16 must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend events at Fringe Common Rooms, and other events run by Melbourne Fringe. You will be asked to show your proof of vaccination upon entry. The easiest way to do this is by adding your COVID-19 digital certificate to the Service Victoria app – click here for instructions.

Do not attend if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or are required to quarantine as a close contact of a confirmed case. Click here for our refunds and exchange policy. If you begin to feel unwell while at an event, contact an event staff member immediately.

Checking In
Upon arrival you will be asked to check-in using Service Victoria’s QR code app to assist the Victorian Government with contact tracing. This will also be the primary method for displaying your COVID-19 vaccination certificate. If you do not have a smartphone, one of our friendly staff will assist you with checking in.

Physical Distancing
Please adhere to physical distancing guidelines of the event and stay 1.5m away from other humans when possible.

Hand Hygiene
Wash your hands after touching surfaces and apply hand sanitiser liberally.

Bring a Mask
Masks may be required, depending on advice from the Victorian Government at the time of the event so bring it along just in case.

Venue Capacity
Fringe Common Rooms has strict venue capacity numbers depending on the type of event. To avoid disappointment, please book ahead online as door sales may not be available.
